From Nature, For Nature: Our Commitment to Protecting the Earth

At Make it Crystal, sustainability and ethical practices are at the heart of everything we do. From our materials to our processes, we’re committed to creating beautiful, lasting products that respect the planet and the people who inhabit it.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We’ve reimagined our packaging to be as eco-friendly as possible:

  • All plastic bags, no matter the size, have been replaced with durable paper alternatives.
  • Common plastic nail files in our tool kits are swapped for elegant, biodegradable wooden ones.
  • For essential components such as nail adhesives, sample nails for sizing, and tape, we use recycled plastic to minimize waste without compromising functionality.

A Eco-Friendly Alternative

Our crystal nails are made to last a lifetime, offering a long-term alternative to disposable plastic and acrylic press-ons:

With proper care, our crystal nails can be used again and again. Unlike plastic nails, adhesives won’t leave residue on crystal nails. Simply clean them, and they’ll be as fresh as new for every application. Crystal nails are not only a sustainable choice but also a timeless investment in nail beauty.

A Made-to-Order Business Model

We craft every product on demand, ensuring that each piece is made with purpose and care. This approach eliminates excess inventory, reducing waste and minimizing the risk of unsold items ending up in landfills.

Ethical Practicing

Local Mineral Vendors

We carefully source all our crystals from trusted local suppliers who provide credentials verifying their practices.

Avoiding Conflict Crystals

We make a conscious effort to exclude materials linked to human rights violations. For example, we do not use lapis lazuli or other conflict stones, prioritizing both ethical practices and social responsibility.

Make it Crystal Goals

While we strive for full transparency in every step of our production process, we recognize the inherent challenges of the mineral industry, where precise documentation from mining to distribution can be limited.

  • Full Supply Chain Transparency by 2027: We are actively working toward building a fully trusted and transparent supply chain by 2027, ensuring greater accountability and traceability in our materials.
  • Certified B-Corp by 2028

At Make it Crystal, sustainability isn’t just a value—it’s our commitment to the future. While becoming a certified B Corp is a goal we deeply aspire to, as a young startup, we recognize that meeting the rigorous standards takes time and growth. That’s why we’ve set our sights on achieving B Corp certification by 2028.

In the meantime, we’re building our foundation with sustainability at the core of every decision we make, ensuring that when the time comes, we’re ready to meet the challenge.

Our Commitment

Every Make it Crystal product represents a blend of sustainability, craftsmanship, and ethical responsibility. By choosing us, you’re not just investing in exquisite, one-of-a-kind crystal nails—you’re supporting a brand that values the planet and its people.
